A registered psychological associate is a mental health professional with a masters’ or doctorate degree who is completing requirements for licensure in California by providing therapy while under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
Oriana McGee, PsyD
Oriana McGee, PsyD, served on the SBCPA Board of Directors as a student representative and received her doctorate from Antioch University Santa Barbara in 2025. Dr. McGee comes to the field of psychology with a diverse and unique perspective after years of study and life experience. Knowing that each individual has a rich and varied history, Dr. McGee tailors therapy to address each patients’ needs and goals.
Her approach is rooted in psychodynamic, relational, and attachment schools of thought, and she specializes in trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, anger management, grief and bereavement, depth and spirituality, matrescence (pregnancy and postpartum work), couples work (strengthening connections as well as separation and divorce), LGBTQ+ concerns, and aging.
Hang Yin Candy Lo
Hang Yin Candy Lo is a US National Certified Counselor, US Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, US Registered Drama Therapist/Board Certified Trainer, and Certified Child Life Specialist. She is certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement (ADEC). She is the recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Achievement Award and the 2024 Innovative Award from the American Dance Therapy Association.
After a successful career as a Musical Theatre performer, Candy graduated from Antioch University New England with an MA in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling. Upon returning to Hong Kong, Candy worked with adults to exploring different options in their lives and partnered with Non-Governmental Organizations to provide services to a wide range of clients. Candy served with Children’s Cancer Foundation in Hong Kong as a half-time Child Life Specialist and Dance/Movement Therapist, providing service to pediatric patients and their families at five area hospitals.
Candy also provided group Dance/Movement Therapy to adult cancer patients at several regional hospitals. Deeply passionate about utilizing creative arts to aid the wellbeing of medical professionals, she taught the Performance Art module of the Medical Humanities curriculum at the School of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong.
Originally from Hong Kong, Candy lived in Hong Kong, Belgium, the UK, and the US. Candy is currently splitting her time between Hong Kong and the US and studying for her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Meridian University. She is fluent in in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
